






Kodak Ektar is known to be super saturated and contrasty, with particularly punchy reds. Naturally, I was drawn right over to this. We didn't try the Alligator Ice, but we did try the fried dough… which our dog promptly stole when we weren’t looking.

Yes, again. This is what happens when I get excited about trying a new color film and then rewatch “The Grand Budapest Hotel”. I’m really happy with the color saturation, how fine the film grain is, and its dynamic range.

Here, I was experimenting with negative space and how Ektar would render the red against the blue.

I’m really happy with this shot, too. The colors are pretty much exactly as there were at the time. Unfortunately, none of the lights turned on until well after dark and I didn’t bring my tripod.
